tom coffey 42 #1 Posted December 24, 2018 My "new" C-160 is missing the headlights. I have nothing but a hole in the hood with some retainer clips around the edge of the hole. What else besides this do I need? The switch is still in the dash. Thanks.
Lee1977 6,557 #2 Posted December 24, 2018 This is what should be in there. I holds two 1156 backup light blubs. They don't put out a lot of light. You may get one from some who has a parts tractor. It's riveted in in the two center holes and provides holes to attach the lens.
ebinmaine 66,584 #3 Posted December 24, 2018 Tom I've got a couple of those headlight holders here. You pay the freight and I'll send one to you. There are LED bulbs available which will be brighter, whiter, and use less amperage. 2

To save reinventing the wheel.... do you have a particular bulb and source that is nice and bright and will withstand the elements?

I haven't bought any of that particular part number yet but maybe someone else could chime in? I'd have to do a quick Google search and probably find something on the auction site or jungle site. Something like that particular bulb number is most likely available at almost any brick-and-mortar store as well.

If you search the web for super bright LED 1156 replacements you should get some options.

oliver2-44 9,409 #10 Posted December 25, 2018 (edited) I initially bought these ZEVO's and they are brighter than the stock bulbs. https://www.google.com/shopping/product/17631356317071642215?lsf=seller:6201684,store:12227021230649442927&prds=oid:15091535119251558525&q=1156+led+bulbs&hl=en&ei=5aYhXParOcGUsgWG9JLwCQ&lsft=gclid:Cj0KCQiApILhBRD1ARIsAOXWTzsh2WH4_7bMoZxnxcRXxzwFnHTK731hYN6h5fHRs6c58PFppaBmyJQaAmq4EALw_wcB For another tractor I recently bought these from Superbrightleds https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/tail-brake-turn/1156-led-bulb-27-smd-led-tower-ba15s-retrofit/2622/7311/?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=base&utm_content=1156-x27-T-CAR&utm_campaign=GoogleBaseChild&gclid=Cj0KCQiApILhBRD1ARIsAOXWTzu9_FmoFj8ld8qwnmPvDsx-cA2T1K-qFFvQDk1x5Jfb-M1AN8Nwm3EaAnrNEALw_wcB When I was looking them up just now I found that they have them with a stock like clear round glass cover. I think the cover is really a good option for the Wheelhorse design light holder and its open design. https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/tail-brake-turn/1156-led-bulb-w-stock-cover-36-smd-led-tower-ba15s-retrofit-car/1686/4107/?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=base&utm_content=1156-x3W-G-CAR&utm_campaign=GoogleBaseChild&gclid=Cj0KCQiApILhBRD1ARIsAOXWTzuiS-pLgcdQZR_kO8_3UWVrdBiHb7Oe-Dc0ercjioau50fOITr3zuEaAtT7EALw_wcB In another thread on here someone recommended using shiny foil tape or decal type material to line the WH light socket and improve the reflective surface Edited December 25, 2018 by oliver2-44
