wheelhorseman 3,211 #101 Posted December 22, 2018 Last night Scottie was fever free!!! Praise the Lord!!! However, he experienced more pain during the night. He has some fractured ribs that is causing him pain and his pelvic area was hurting him along with his legs. As long as we stay on top of his pain, he does fine. Ok so now we are going to start a new chapter of Scottie’s recovery as we are going home tomorrow. Please pray that he continues to get stronger and he heals mentally and physically. We also ask for prayers to make our family a stronger unit and that we rally around Scottie to heal. Our next chapter will be a long road but with God by our side we can do anything! 3 2 1
Chris G 3,296 #102 Posted December 22, 2018 Thanks for the updates and prayers will most definitely continue for the family. I hope you all still can have a great holiday and the road to recovery continues to go well. Also you guys are doing great, I know when I went through a similar situation with my daughter that it can wear you down physically and mentally. But keep it up and stay strong and the next chapter will fall in to place. Being there for them is one of the biggest tools to recovery. But I hope you guys all have a Merry Christmas and the blessings continue on your family's path. 1

ACman 7,618 #107 Posted December 22, 2018 (edited) Very good news. I’m still praying for your family. Joette from talking with you at the Big Show you know my situation . My personal experience if anyway possible an adjustable memory foam bed is the way to go. It’s been a saving grace with my recovery (never had a bedsore) and should ease some of the pain from pressure points. 953 nut 55,229 #114 Posted December 23, 2018 Being home will be the best medicine for the entire family. Just sleeping in your own bed and having Scottie's friends being able to see him at home will do wonders. I pray for continued healing and comfort for the whole family.

wheelhorseman 3,211 #119 Posted December 26, 2018 Sorry about the long post but here is the latest update on Scottie’s recovery!!!! Chapter 2 Day 1 Scottie arrived home on Sunday around 2 pm. He was greeted by his 3 puppies and his older brothers! Once we got Scottie situated and in his new bed he fell asleep since the trip home was exhausting. Scottie had his normal visitors later in the evening. Which helped him being more comfortable at home. Chapter 2 Day 2 Well Scottie was up again last night with pain in his hip and in his clavicle. He had a hard time going back to sleep but once his medication kicks in he is fine. He has a positive attitude despite what he is going through. We are closely monitoring his urine output and his BM’s. I have to consistently remind him to drink his water and to eat something as there are times he forgets. During the day his normal activity consists of sleeping in until nine, eating when he is hungry, taking his medication, watching movies, repositioning so his bottom don’t break down, playing games, and being apart of our family and seeing who is visiting him for the day. Scottie opened his presents and he was excited to have a Green Bay Packer Christmas. He got a blanket, sweat pants, socks, a banner, and an Aaron Rodgers jersey! Two games to play with when his friends come over, and more clothes from other people. Chapter 2 Day 3 Scottie woke up in pain (6/10) because his stomach hurt and he felt sick. Come to find out he had to pass gas and have a BM. Once he achieved that task, he slowly started to feel better. Scottie had a surprise visitor this morning who brought him his Christmas gift. Jacob (His best friend) came to spend the day with Scottie. Scottie and Jacob played 3-4 different games and watched movies on Christmas Day! 13 8 3

Tractorhead 9,064 #121 Posted December 26, 2018 As a way doesn't go allway's straight, convalescent have also some ups and downs. Maybe no consolation, but i feel with him. Sent continousely some Prayers to Scottie and your Family, that he will be fine and healin quick. Family and Friends in such timeline are also necessary, as medicine for him to feel comfortable. As i heard firstly about his Injuries, i know, it was not a simple sniff and it takes it's time to healin. Some issues he will remember, some issues he will forgot when he's growing. The Main things will stay, at this time he will know who was friends and who don't and how important was Family. I remember some issues they happen, but i mostly forgot the Pain's i had sometimes in this time. All the cracks are healty now, but few other issues still stay's. Sent good Vibrations and Prayers to you and your Family, to healing quick and forgot all the Pain. You have my fully Respect for the strongness, you shall give to Scottie. I will pray for Scottie, no ongoing troubles will occur, also to Bryan. 2
Sparky-(Admin) 21,318 #122 Posted December 26, 2018 Surrounded by family and friends is the best medicine. A few hurdles, and that’s to be expected, but it sounds like he is making progress 1

stevasaurus 22,740 #124 Posted December 26, 2018 I'm glad he is a Packers Fan. Now I won't feel bad about the Bears beating the Vikings this weekend. I was having issues about who to root, route for. Scottie, take care and let mother nature do her work. Prayers still. 2 1
