sure, how about this ?  note the carouse and hinds clamp is behind the spring mount, you will tap on the flat horizontal in back to drive both forward ,and increase tension . slightly loosen both clamps . if you don't like this spring mount, you could use a  " riser clamp " for vertical piping, about 1- 1/4"  , cut off the side excess and replace the bolts with 3/8" eye bolts to secure springs . I have tried both, pete
