hcminis 1,557 #1 Posted November 28, 2018 Finally got this tractor in my possession and home. Been trying for 4 years to buy this tractor. Fellow Junkie released it to me for reasonable price. This tractor needs a lot of TLC. Was running on starter fluid several weeks ago. Now it is snowing and everything is froze. Hopefully this weekend we will get back to the 50s and will thaw everything out. Pretty sure transmission is froze up. Really bad thing right now is it is sitting on my trailer and can't get it to move. But...it is at least at my house now and hopefully start getting it back to its glory. Last picture is of it just after being power washed at the local car wash. 10

PeacemakerJack 10,741 #8 Posted November 28, 2018 This one needs some work but is a great candidate for a complete resto. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out...
DBlackston 298 #9 Posted November 28, 2018 So you you still run implements in the center along with this loader? Such as a belly blade or cultivator? I see why you said an HY-3 wouldnt fit now due to the loader attaching to the axle. Unfortunate!
953 nut 56,162 #10 Posted November 28, 2018 Your years of persistence have paid off. That will be a sweet looking addition to any herd, looking forward to watching the build thread. The "Trip Dump" on the FEL bucket will take some getting accustom to, had one years ago on a farm tractor and conditions had to be just right to get it to release.

Such as a belly blade or cultivator?.....no I see why you said an HY-3 wouldnt fit now due to the loader attaching to the axle. Unfortunate! There is also supposed to be a weight box on the back. Have one located and waiting to see if it will be for sale. If not then the gentleman did say he will get me all the needed measurements to get one built. 1

Loader on the other hand is wrong color. That really stinks

hcminis 1,557 #16 Posted December 2, 2018 Well it made it in the garage finally after thawing out. Next challenge is getting it to run and loader working. Drained all fluid from transmission so will flush it this evening. Bought new coil, spark plug, condenser, and points.
hcminis 1,557 #17 Posted December 3, 2018 Spent 6 hours on the tractor today. New coil, condenser, spark plug, points, and spark plug wire. Then put a good working carburetor on since the one on it was rusted shut. Took fuel pump off and had to clean it out. That was the worse part. Put new fuel line on. Put the battery in and BAM...it is ALIVE. Next hurdle is getting the loader to operate. Fluid is being pumped to valve but still not working. Will need to flush it and try again.
WHX?? 49,485 #18 Posted December 3, 2018 Never ceases to amaze me that with a little TLC how these girls fire right up. I've had new to me's so crusty I thought the only thing gonna make this motor run is a complete rebuild. Surprise surprise a little fresh gas and yes BAM it runs.. Nice work HC 3

I plan to keep everything together. I am wanting to paint loader to correct color which is white. However I like the original patina on the tractor and don't want to paint it. We'll see how it goes 3
