Navig8r 132 #1 Posted November 25, 2018 I'm having trouble putting the pieces together on which pulley will fit... Know I have a 3/4" shaft with 5 1/2" original pulley.. OEM is crazy money, but not sure if some of the replacements I'm finding will take the 5/8" wide belt..... Anyone know what section width this belt would be (5L perhaps?) Was looking at this from TSC.... https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/phoenix-standard-a-b-type-3-4-steel-drive-pulley-5-in-od?cm_vc=-10005 I know its a 5" vs. 5 1/2"... wouldnt mind running just shy of full throttle if all else is good. Any help is greatly appreciated as is all the help I've already gotten trying to get this thing together!
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted November 25, 2018 It says A/B type. Assuming that is the belt width A being 1/2" and B being 5/8". Most replacement pulleys will accept both belt widths. The narrower belt will give a slightly smaller effective diameter. Garry
wallfish 16,985 #3 Posted November 25, 2018 You can also find cast pulleys of many sizes here. https://www.surpluscenter.com/Pulleys/Finished-Bore-Pulleys/?page_no=1&fq=ATR_Grooves:1&fq=ATR_Bore_Fractional:3/4\" Not sure the pic for 5.45" D is correct as a spoke pulley. I've ordered many different pulleys and they weren't spoke pulleys until the larger diameter around 8 inches. Not like it makes any difference anyway but...
