Tractor Lift

Harbor Freight has the Motorcycle lift on black Friday sale for 279. Good deal I think. I thought I did ok when I got mine for 299.

I like the width of yours once the tractor is up as it makes access underneath a bit easier.

Gary's bike lift is great but is a bit wider. Here is a poor image of it.

Got mine this past summer for $279.  Put a wider board on it.  Use it for everything now cause I'm too old to bend over and work on things on the floor!!!

That's why I got mine. I like the painted platform. I wanted to do that but started using it right away and never got it done. Nice job.

Great setup! I'm going to get one, I'm 71+ and bending working low 'bout ready to start wearing knee pads along with my headlamp.  

That's one reason I hired a crew.

Is that plywood on the deck and ramp? How wide did you make it?

Yes, it is 3/4" plywood.  The deck is 40" x 88" and the ramp is 40" x 24".  The cycle lift has raised sides on it, so I put 3/4" x 2 1/2" runners under the plywood so there is no side to side movement.  But before I attached them I put pins down through them and drilled out the deck of the cycle lift accordingly so that when in place the deck board can't move forward or backward.  This allows me to just lift the deck board off which makes it easier to store when needed.  I actually borrowed most of this idea from fellow RS Member @Texas Todd after reading one of his posts.

 

Just one more reason I love this forum and it's members!!!

Hope to one day make this stationary and put a wider top on it. Right now at least I can move it around. Doesn’t go as low as I would like it but it raises almost to 6’ high. Will be nice to be able to get a tractor to where I can stand up and work on it.

Maybe not for a GT 14 or 520 but this HF table lift picked up my 1267 with no issues and it's stores a heck of a lot easier than a bike lift.

That is a good deal on the lift. A table lift would be real nice. Right now I get along pretty good with my cycle lift. I do wish that it lifted a little higher though.

It takes about 40 foot pumps to get my table raised. I like the pneumatic!!

Achto  I used to put black of 4x4 on the lift to give more hight. I think I even tried one time 6x6`s could not find picks.

I did throw together this jig to gain 3" more lift. It also allows the side clearance needed so that the tractor can be completely assembled while on the lift.

I just asked the family for an early Christmas present. A lift table!! I would definitely want to convert it to pneumatic like Craig has. Can I use the same cylinder? I built this roller table years ago to do restoration work on but driving the tractor up and down is a PITA and not exactly the safest thing.

Might try a local C/L search in your particular area of the country. 

Plug a generic "motorcycle lift" into C/L and see what pops up...

if it's not there now, it soon will be...usually can find 'em nicely priced too. 

Just keep trying until you find the one that's right for you.
