DBlackston 298 #26 Posted November 17, 2018 Went ahead and ordered some new lift arm rubber handles today. I found this post on facebook that pointed towards a website called http://gtgravelyparts.com They have the exact same handle our wheel horses use. My handles are all in good shape but these look alot newer and I am afraid i may damage one removing them. $14 and some change for all 3 shipped to my door!

DBlackston 298 #30 Posted November 17, 2018 @clueless or @squonk is that a repop or an original Wheel Horse Weight? Do one of you still own that weight? If so I would like to PM the owner. I love the look of these round hoods with the cultivators or the Belly Blades!

The weight, blade, and cultivators didn't come with the deal, but I sure thought that bell would've . Mike may still have them.

I need it to get the geezers out of my way at the Steam Pageant. Edited November 17, 2018 by squonk

I think I have another bell kicking around here somewhere. PM me your address and if I find it I'll send it to ya!
DBlackston 298 #35 Posted November 19, 2018 Well besides a few small repairs such as tabs to hold the bottom of the belt gaurd, as well as a repair to the steering block, and removing the rear hubs I have the tractor completely tore down. Please ignore my messy garge. I plan on painting the frame, trans, and wheels first so I can have a roller, as well as try to master the new paint I plan on using without doing so in the most visible and smooth areas like the gaurds and hood where any errors would be more visible. I have been researching some paint and I think I may end up using the Nason paint line. I like the looks of some of the Rustoleum Regal Red paint jobs on here but I am afraid of the longevity especially around the tank and gas fill.

Pullstart 63,205 #38 Posted November 20, 2018 That garage is less messy than my house @DBlackston! That might be due to the fact that I have two little girls I commonly refer to as my “monsters”! Keep up the good work! Have you figured out a plan for that tab on the frame for the belt guard? I wonder if there is room to use a sleeve spacer and a drill through hole on the frame... I’m not sure if there would be belt interference or not.

Pullstart, I plan on purchasing this material to manufacture a new tab. I do not need the 3ft piece but plan on using it for some other odds and ends. It comes with rounded edges and should be able to be bent to match the old bracket.
DBlackston 298 #40 Posted November 22, 2018 Had some time today so I started working on a model of the front weight. I am too cheap to buy one. Going to see if a local casting company can make me one or two if not I will mill one out. @squonk really helped me out on the dimensions! The letters are the hardest part, they will take some time to get even and properly positioned. I just threw them in there today haven't started to critique them.

DBlackston 298 #42 Posted November 22, 2018 (edited) Haven't made alot of progress today since it is a Holiday. Snatched up a decent pallet to put my implements on so that they won't rust away into the dirt. I think we are in for a wet winter and wanted to keep them out of the dirt until I get rock put in around the shed. Typical job shop. I work specifically in the tooling department as a weld inspector and quality inspector. My roles vary though as needed. I dabble in the engineering side of things. I used to be a shop lead there on night shift and before that I was a machinist and painter on the floor.
DBlackston 298 #45 Posted November 26, 2018 Hope to get back to the tractor soon. There were practically blizzard like conditions outside today with snow and up to 60mph gusts. I made snow inside by making a mess of the kitchen cutting styrofoam for the garage doors. The wife just laughed at me and my staticky mess. But they are insulated now. Time to find a heater and seal up the walkthrough door a little better then it should be tolerable enough to work out there. 2
DBlackston 298 #46 Posted July 12, 2020 It's been on hold a long time but I finally painted some wheels for this thing. Now to start painting the frame, trans, and front axle so I can have a roller.

ebinmaine 68,889 #49 Posted July 12, 2020 Dual dualleys?
DBlackston 298 #50 Posted July 13, 2020 This one will be a dually. Grandpa has a 654 so I did those wheels at the same time. And I had bought a set of AGs that were sitting around so I did those as well. Figured if I had the equipment out to do it I may as well do it all at once. 3 1 1
