Dan693 510 #1 Posted November 10, 2018 Hey Yall, 10 year old stock Toro tractor 18 HP......just replaced the battery a week ago and went to start it today and the battery was dead. Any thoughts on starting to shake down the cause is appreciated. I'm the king of "seat of your pants" but an electrical drain aint the time for that. squonk 41,118 #2 Posted November 10, 2018 Get yourself a 12 Volt test light. Unhook you negative cable and attach the test light between the negative post and the cable. If there is a draw the test light will glow. Unplug things one at a time like your regulator, lights, cig lighter if there ect. When you unplug the source of your draw the light will go out.
