Kelly 1,029 #1 Posted January 26, 2008 I was just contacted by a person that has a C-195 no attachments 390hr.s on it. That's all I know about it right now I asked if it had rear pto and the 3 point. Is there things about the tractor I should look at? other than the normal stuff does the engine have problems I should look for? he said it has a 19hp Kohler I only have one Kohler twin a M18 and it has 1000+ hours on it and runs good puffs alittle when starting. I know this is a different tractor than the regular C's just want to look at anything special on this one. He's asking $750 I'm not sure I can go that high but I'll look at it, and let you guy's have a crack at it if I have to pass. Kelly in MI.
Jim_M 178 #2 Posted January 26, 2008 Kelly, The series one engines had some oiling problems, the later series engines were much better. That's the only weak link that I know of on these tractors. Jim
Jim_M 178 #4 Posted January 27, 2008 I forgot to say it earlier, but at $750.00 it wouldn't matter if it had a blown engine, I would buy it.
kpinnc 11,877 #5 Posted January 27, 2008 The only two things I'd look at: Will it fit in the trailer, and where do I find an ATM close by? Get it if you can! Kevin
Kelly 1,029 #6 Posted January 27, 2008 It will fit the trailer I have a 18' car hauler so that's covered, but If I use the ATM to buy a tractor the wife would have my hide, I have a tractor fund buying and selling stuff and do pretty good at it, but I've bought more than sold lately, so funds are low . But I'm trying to find the money, I have some stuff to get rid of. Taking donations Kelly in MI.

Kelly 1,029 #8 Posted January 27, 2008 I don't sell the red stuff, I pick up all the tractors I can find, any brand and sell them or if they are ruff part them out. I also buy stuff at yard sales, auctions ect.... and sell, I've been amazed at what sells on Ebay That,s how I've got all my horse's. Kelly in MI.
