Sparky-(Admin) 21,595 #3 Posted November 5, 2018 Looks like an 8hp Kohler Magnum under the hood. Tranny will be the 8 speed with hi/low and is most likely the 4 pinion with 1” axles. Is that what your after for info?

Sparky-(Admin) 21,595 #5 Posted November 5, 2018 Plenty of them were produced. Desirable in what way? If you mean are they collectible, probably not. If your asking if they are a good all around machine the answer is yes. Thrifty on fuel, the Magnums are easy to maintain and are a relatively trouble free motor. It’ll spin a 36 or 37” deck with ease and as long as the grass isn’t wet or long even a 42” deck. Snow plowing is more about traction than HP so I bet it would be a good snow plowing machine. My opinion is that a 42” single stage snow blower is a bit to much for an 8HP machine but there are a few guys that run em. 3
