Ralph S 342 #1 Posted November 4, 2018 Well I decided to make a weight bracket to hang more weights on the rear of the little puller after Saturday's pull.
Ralph S 342 #2 Posted November 5, 2018 I installed a front bracket too so that I can juggle weights where they are needed
Spareparts 84 #3 Posted November 5, 2018 We cannot have anything on the rear that will interfear with chain hook up, so what I did was where you welded the tubing to the pan mount was drill a 1" hole thru there and hung about 40 lbs. of barbell weights there. No interferance and that really helped
Daron1965 644 #4 Posted November 5, 2018 Looks good Ralph. Looks like the pulling bug bit you. I would really like to start a pulling league in our area.

Ralph S 342 #6 Posted November 13, 2018 I'll bee at 1500 lbs. Weight class now. I changed up the weights in the front to the same style like the rear so I can balance it out to keep the front low while it's pulling

How can we go about doing this ? Do you think there are enough people around who would go for it ?
Daron1965 644 #9 Posted November 14, 2018 I already know of numerous people in the area that are interested. I have been in talks with a local volunteer fire department that already do truck pulls 2 times a month to add a garden tractor division. We have contacted national quarter scale about regulations and class divisions. I'm trying.

Ralph S 342 #19 Posted March 21, 2019 My next project is a 518-H. It has something wrong with the transmission but I'm working on it now. LOL ! My work is never done but I have fun doing it. If it proves to be too expensive to fix, I may take the Onan engine out of it and put it in a 310-8 chassis and make another puller with the spare parts. Spareparts 84 #25 Posted April 14, 2019 No. I do not at this time, but what I done was drill thru the seat upright's about half way between the diff to the seat pan and used 1" round bar thru the uprights. The bar was long enough to hang the weights, 3 on each side between the upright's and the tires, The solid bar weight right at 5lbs. and I could squeeze 2 more weights on there but it would be tight I hope I explained it well enough and I will take some pictures and try to post some up when I figure out to do it. Right now the tractors are in hibernation but it will soon be time to wake them up. Our pull season starts June 1st and we have 20 pulls scheduled for this summer, gonna be busy.
