I need help!

Recommended Posts

So a few weeks ago I bought a 1974 wheel horse A-800 Ranger. When I took it apart to clean up the rust I didn’t take pictures of the 3 speed clutch and brake system. Could someone help me with a diagram or pictures of how theirs are set up please?

Welcome to the forum.

This link will take you to what we have for the A-800 Ranger model. The 17 results will come up in no particular order so look them all over. Click on each red bar to see a description of the file. You can download from there. IPL is illustrated parts list and we have it. Click on any small picture to enlarge it.

Thank you Gary. I’ve been doing research for the past couple days and couldn’t find anything.

What I needed wasn’t on there. There was no diagram of the clutch/pulley setup.

This diagram of the pulleys is in there. Is this what you're looking for?

Download the A800 IPL file

Yes. I need something like this. This might be enough to get me where I need to be.

Thank you.

Thank you. I am currently tight on money so it’ll be a while before I can do most of the cosmetic work.

My main goal right now is getting the clutch/brake system setup and getting the deck adjustment setup working. I’ll worry about bondo and painting later on.

This is what it currently looks like. I still need to do a lot of work. And get a few more body pieces. 7F03B162-0106-47AB-A8E8-57FF352C5E02.png.a7cc6a74f4dfa179fe16a7209dd0375a.png

And yes. That’s a Briggs and Stratton 17.5 hp engine. I know it’s not original but it’s the only engine I have right now.

Is there a diagram more like this one that’s for my wheel horse?
