chevelletown 37 #1 Posted January 26, 2008 I just got back from IL with the C195. Patrick wanted to be the first in the family to drive it It has about 770 hours on it and it runs and functions great. Its going to need serviced and cleaned but I think it might make a good work tractor. Did Wheel Horse make a PTO for this tractor? It looks as if there is a place for one I also got a 701 from the same guy. It was a little burried but it looks complete, even has the back rest on the seat. He said he got it from the original owner. I have to go get it another time beacause I had a full trailer. It seems as if I still have trouble with going after 1 tractor and bring back more than I planned. From what I've seen that is a problem some of you guys have in common
Jim_M 178 #2 Posted January 26, 2008 They did make a pto for these tractors. They pop up on ebay from time to time. I had 3 NOS pto's for these, I sold 2 on eBay last winter ( they did great) and I've got one put away just in case I find a tractor to put it on.
combatmp29r 27 #3 Posted January 26, 2008 Nice tractor. The Super C should do all the work you ever ask it too. If not you can just get out the D :D
combatmp29r 27 #4 Posted January 26, 2008 Oh and thats why alot of us take little trailers to pick up a new tractor. I'd hate to see what would happen if we took something like Stephens 16 footer :D
chevelletown 37 #5 Posted January 26, 2008 Jim, if I should find a PTO whats a fair price to pay for it? How are they driven? Joel, If I went to some of these places with a trailer like Stephen's my wife would strangle me every time I came back. I was lucky enough to see Stephens herd and it looks like he is pretty good at filling his trailer when he goes horse huntin'. :D
combatmp29r 27 #6 Posted January 26, 2008 Ken, mine strangles me half the time I come home with the little trailer.. I can fit 4 verts on it if I try hard enough :D
Jim_M 178 #7 Posted January 26, 2008 Ken, They're belt driven. I'm not sure how to explain it so it will be easy to understand. Maybe somebody here will post a drawing. I've got the instruction manual, tried to scan it, but it looks like the light in my scanner burnt out. You should be able to find it on the Toro MPV, by using the model number of your tractor. I hate to tell you this, but the first one I sold on eBay brought over $400.00 and the second was over $300.00, those guys were determined to own them. I'd hate to see what would happen if we took something like Stephens 16 footer Joel, I have an 18 foot open trailer and a 28 foot enclosed trailer. Maybe that's why I'm on my second marriage....? chevelletown 37 #13 Posted January 27, 2008 Wow That looks like quite a rigging. Did the ones you sold come complete with all that hardware?
Jim_M 178 #14 Posted January 27, 2008 Some of those parts should already be on your tractor, but the pto kit looks like a freakin chinese puzzle when you first open the box!

He didn't check to see what it was and I did So I let him set the price :P
