Tayloc31 2 #1 Posted October 17, 2018 I just bought a c145. Runs great but its missing the belts that go from the engine to the front pulley, and from the front pulley to the mower deck. Does anyone know what lengths these are? The model ID tag is worn off. Its hydrostatic, 14hp, hydro lift.
daveoman1966 3,752 #2 Posted October 17, 2018 If a 42" REAR discharge deck, the belt is # 108834. If it is 42 or 48 SIDE disch, the belt is # 102742 or 94-2501 (new # ). You should buy the OEM belt as aftermarket belts...IMHO....are inferior and make less than optimum geometric fit.
953 nut 55,321 #3 Posted October 17, 2018 The C-145 is a great machine and with proper maintenance will give you years of service.

Tayloc31 2 #6 Posted October 17, 2018 @daveoman1966 There is two belts right? One from motor to pulley and one from pulley to mower deck. Are they both the same belt? Its is a 42in rear discharge.
daveoman1966 3,752 #7 Posted October 17, 2018 You need belt # 108834. One...only One. It runs from the engine PTO, out around the front axle, back under to the pulley, then loops back around the front axle, and to the PTO pulley again. It is item # 41 in this schematic ... Tayloc31 2 #8 Posted October 17, 2018 Awesome thanks a lot. Here are a few pics. I paid 180 for it.
oldblue1993 98 #9 Posted October 17, 2018 180 is a good price, the c145 is a great machine. I use mine for rototiller and heavy work, she handles it all in stride. Maintain her and in 40yrs see what that 180 got you.
Tayloc31 2 #10 Posted October 17, 2018 Im hoping to resore it to its original beauty. I think i i should replace the drive belt as well, do you guys know what belt that is?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,047 #11 Posted October 17, 2018 The belts have been added to this page. Click on the picture. Not necessarily the deck model you have but the belts will be the same. Your model of tractor was produced 1980-1984. Garry
Tayloc31 2 #12 Posted October 17, 2018 Thank you. I have the mower deck drive belt # already. Im just curious of the belt that runs from the engine to the rear end to make the tractor move.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,047 #13 Posted October 17, 2018 Tractor drive belt - click on picture Looks like the Sundstrand and Eaton hydros use different belts. Sundstrand have the filter on the right side and the Eaton on the rear. Garry
c-series don 8,723 #14 Posted October 17, 2018 Easy way to remember which is which: as far as the filters go Eaton is on the end and Sunstrand is on the side of the transmission.
