Finished up the 42" snow plow and mounted it to the 315-8,  almost everything works as should but the angle lever won't clear the electric PTO if angling to the right... Need one of the newer style angle levers like in the following screenshots...

Made use of the original angle handle I had for the last 20 years and modified after getting the extension kit for the 520... Now I can angle it both directions without hitting the muffler.

Also got most of the Cub Cadet blade done... Mock fit on a parts tractor just need to make the lift arm and angle from seat handle.

Installed the rear attach riser blocks and @richmondred01 the new angle lever I fabbed up (from your template you sent me, many thanks) along with the 56" moldboard and 5 position angle quadrant I acquired from a WH ZTR , the anti-sway bracket I made up a few years back... Maybe this summer it'll get a fresh coat of crimson and black.

@ebinmaine, Eric have you installed your riser blocks yet? I didn't measure actual lift height before and after the riser blocks but it definitely looked like 1" (+/-) nets 2" blade height.

Nope...

Haven't yet.

Can't get the old battle-axe off her 867 long enough to mess with it.

That and I haven't exactly remembered....

That's kinda funny forgetting to fix up a snowplow while it's snowing... I'm lucky only one measurable snow this year.

Yeah..

My memory isn't exactly the best.

See... I think about it while it's in operation...

Ah well....

I'll get to it eventually.

That's the ultra rare Flintstone model. VERY early production.

Really what it comes down to is that Jeff is so bull strong that he just does not need a combustion engine in some of his tractors.

#1. I modified a 42" plow I bought about 15 years ago for my 867 by removing the triangle bellcrank and the 2 rods that control the angle release pin. I replaced all of that stuff with a simple choke/throttle type of cable.  Works great!  Did I mention, it's simple and cheap?

#2.  Several years ago, I was plowing my neighbor's cement drive when the blade got caught in an expansion joint and I just about flew over the steering wheel. (FYI; I like to plow in 3rd with the engine at about 3/4 throttle :woohoo:).  Luckly nothing was broken! To prevent that from happening again I relocated the lower spring anchor point in the frame closer to the blade's pivet point, thereby lessening the springs leverage over the force it takes to trip the blade.  No more flying over the steering wheel or breaking something.
