That's what we all want to see.Fix what's broken instead of junking it.Maybe others can get inspiration from the work you did.Well done!

Jim, I just don't understand why some people do the things they do, I'm guessing they cut all that off trying to fit it up to an ATV, but I'll make it :wh: usable again, other than the angle from seat parts missing, the frame and moldboard are in really decent shape.

Thanks guys, thought I would share the easy(sq tubing) way to fix things like this, plus I gave the dimensions in the pics with the templates, (wife has been under the weather) so as she mends I'll try to get it welded together and painted up, Jeff.

Got my parts welded on (with the ole 220 "buzz box" and some 6013 rods) today still need a few more like the angle rod and lever...

I have been busy with other things and kinda been putting this on the back burner, this plow will need an angle lever made as well as the push/pull rod but I also needed the correct lever for my 520 with the extension kit, I noticed that @richmondred01 had one on his 520-8 (should look like the last pic when done) and I contacted him to ask for a template I could just make my own, he obliged and today at work I finally got around to fabbing one up out of 1/4"x1"x4'  HRS flat bar I got from TSC a couple cuts and TIG welded plus a couple 33/64" diameter holes drilled the rest I'll take care of here at home. From the ugly mess I made last year out of the non correct factory version to my new unpainted (except clear coat on my welds) version.  Also if anyone would want to share the dimensions of the bend on the standard/straight angle lever (next to last pic) much appreciated, Jeff.

Wow we had a welder just like that on our farm in Iowa growing up!  Does it work well?

I bought a 1979 C-101 for plowing snow and pushing out piles of fill dirt. I basically saved this little tractor, the previous owner nearly destroyed it. The plow unit was beat up bad, hardly usable. Gear lube leaking out axle seals and somewhere in the front center of the trans..so that should be fun to fix. Anyways, back to the plow....I went at it and made it a winch lift. It was fairly easy to do and $200 in cash.

@KrazeyOlDave, would you mind cluing us all in on your plan with the plow besides the front winch lift, like why did you remove the angle from seat features that I started this thread about putting it back on my plow frame :confusion-confused:, and what are doing there at the mid attach-a-matic ? inquiring minds want to know.

First off, I’m new and I’m really hoping I didn’t high jack a thread. I looked for a thread with snowplow. My apologies if that’s the case.

For the angle arm assembly, I’m building it back on but in a more ridged fashion. I hate things that rattle and shake. I plan to use an ATV rear brake cable to release the angle pin and use the arm in the same manner as original. I will most likely use the stock lift arm to angle the plow. I’m still running that through my head though.

the mid attachment pivot was my choice for hookup, quick disconnect.

The work you did was above and beyond my expectations of what I thought I’d se on here.

@KrazeyOlDave, Sir, didn't mean to scare you away, I was just trying to get where you were going with this that handle that you removed and I replaced is just used to angle the blade from seat, the lift point is on the plow frame then a small link attached to the rockshaft under the tractor then raised or lowered by the lift arm on the left side of the tractor, mine are hydraulic I'm a bit spoiled.

Thank you! By no means am I wanting to make waves.

We just got 1” of snow, so I just got done trying it out, much faster and easier. I’m sure my neighbors are questioning my sanity right now though 😂.

Now I’ll start on the angle issue. From there, I’m already considering a rear attachment of some kind.

Its only purpose is to move snow and fill dirt...perhaps a small grader blade on the back?

I know I'm a bit of a project starter but slow to the finish line... anyways got back on this 1 (nearly a year later) I actually found the angle lever while buying out a small Cub Cadet collection (more on that later) so that got me in gear to get near the finish line on a couple different things like the moldboard "pull" rod which I bought a 1/2" x 36" solid rod (cold roll steel) from TSC took it to work to use the "blue" wrench to make the 2 90° opposing bends that are approximately 32" bend to bend with 3/4"-1" "ears" drilled 1/8" for cotter or hairpins (I ended up using the new 1 on my 520's 56" plow) and ended up using the WH original from my very first snow plow, so the only thing left on this 42" plow is the linkage cable/wires from the angle lever to the "fulcrum" triangle and on to the angle position lock pin.

Just about got this completed and ready to install I used 1/8" x 36" CRS rod (from Lowe's) for the index rods... The triangle fulcrum point that I made ended up being TOO flimsy (.042" think) I wait till Thursday when I go back to work we have some .080" thick that should be much more rigid if that don't work I'll try to find some 1/8-3/16". I also cut the top corners on the angle lever mount to allow the lever to articulate.

@ebinmaine, @PeacemakerJack, @pullstart ... I know this is NOT WH but since I was in the snow plow refurbishment business a coworker is/was looking for a CC plow so my boy in WV had one he got with a 482 but didn't have the correct moldboard (PO had modified a Sears/MTD/??? to the CC frame, got from boy let said buddy try it but was tweaked unlevel while lowered and wouldn't raise all the way without hitting his grille shell so today I had a very heavy duty 46" Simplicity moldboard that fabbed/converted today to fit the CC frame and the cool part is it can be angled from the seat as well. I still need to get 2 new trip springs and fab up an angle from seat lever. (6th pic is of a 100% IHCC snow plow set up.)
