D-160 Pump Cuppler

I am new to this group. I have a  D-160 with a Newley rebuilt pump with new spline shaft.  coupler in very good shape

. now my question is  should I bolt coupler to the  spline shaft by using a  bolt and  washer into the threaded spline shaft.

Welcome to red square.  D series couplers are problematic.  There are two service bulletins that explain proper hook up.  Loctite RC-680 is recommended.  Also note that there are slightly different procedures for Onan vs Kohler.  (A D-160 could have either)  Click fuzzy picture in links to get to the SBs
