WHX?? 48,813 #1 Posted October 10, 2018 This just popped up fairly local. Have a text into the guy to discuss but no call back yet. Think it would make a nice little show cruiser for the Missus which is what he used it for. Still has the deck as well. Asking 500 for it which I think might be fair what with 3 new batteries?? Said to be a '69? We are offering for sale a real nice vintage (antique ?) 1969 Wheel Horse (Wheelhorse) A-60 (A60) riding lawn mower with $300 of NEW batteries installed. This one looks to be in original condition and runs and drives very well. We bought it to use as a flea maket, swap meet, get-around. As such, we removed the blade deck and installed the Coca-Cola open what-not trunk. We still have the blade deck in storage, which worked well when it was removed. We cleaned it up, put a new rubber floor mat in it, put new front tires on it, and just installed the (3) new deep-cycle batteries. It has an on-board, built-in battery charger. All you have to do is plug it in. It has a 6-speed linear shift-on-the-go type of mechanical transmission. We have really enjoyed it as on-grounds transportation and have mixed feelings about selling it. It will go all weekend as our get-around without needing recharging or slowing down. We did wash it before we took the photos, and it was still wet. The paint is not as glossy as it appears in the pictures, when it is dry. While this rider is very clean and runs and drives like well with brand new batteries, it is still a 40-ish-year-old mechanical, electrical item and thus, is being sold as is, where is, with now guarantees or warranties.

uglyblue66 112 #14 Posted June 27, 2022 I have a quick question in regards to a A-60E I have 1 that I got close to 20 years ago from a dealer that had shut down years before. This thing was literally sold, was brought back same day and returned with a issue, and put under a tarp and never mowed again. The machine is rusty, the tires still had the mold nubs on them, but rotten. The front wheels are 5 inch,I am missing 1 correct wheel for the front.Tractor data dot ,com gives these tire sizes for the gas tractor but not for the electric. I will be going to a show later this week where there are a couple tire vendors and I might would pick up a couple but if 4's are correct, I have plenty of 4 inch wheels and tires. What is the correct tire and wheel size for the electric A-60E? Copy and paste from https://www.tractordata.com/lawn-tractors/002/4/5/2457-wheel-horse-a-60.html Front tire: 4.10x3.50-4 Rear tire: 4.10x3.50-6

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,039 #16 Posted June 27, 2022 From operator manual page 3 Looks like front wheels are 5" diameter
uglyblue66 112 #17 Posted June 27, 2022 thank you,so I wasn't nuts after all. I know now to look for a good 5 inch rim.
uglyblue66 112 #18 Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) Instead of posting pics and such, I was just going to post a link to my thread on smok stak but it won't let me,so here is a couple pics I got from there instead of digging the the computer. It looks horrible. BUT it is waiting for a restore,I got me a large enough tank to do the frame in electrolysis for rust removal. All 3 motors run, the deck motors run quite as church mice but the drive motor will need to be cleaned up and put bearings in ,it is noisey. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,039 #19 Posted June 28, 2022 Best to locate tires and wheels at the same time. 5" may be hard to find where 6" would be easier. Did find one 5" tire https://sutongctr.com/tires/hi-run-su14/
uglyblue66 112 #20 Posted June 28, 2022 I keep getting a certificate problem message and I can't get that to open. Appears a 5 inch tire will be a pain to find. Looks like it will get some 4's to get it rolling and working and 5's can come at a later date.
