My own local fire warden guy told me of a loophole here in Maine.

 

He said if it's under 24" width and height all we have to do is Say it's a "warming fire".

Can't be forced to put it out.

6 or 7 tomorrow morning it's going to be 38 degrees.

Comin up on wood stove weather up here.

Heat index 102 here, Friday. Actually cooler than the first of the week .

I'd figured that for a city slicker Mike @squonk  .... 'sides one of those bundles you buy at a C store would last about 5 minutes in one of my fires! I would load that PK bucket up so the back wheels were off the ground and that would maybe get us by a half hour.  Still pretty low of the dude to turn you in.
