ztnoo 2,298 #1 Posted September 18, 2018 I was just looking around Facebook Marketplace tonight in my local region and stumbled upon something pretty cute, IMO. Not sure how really practical it is, but it sure is innovative and looks on the surface from afar to be well built. The listing places it in good old Mentone, IN, home of a well-known spring and a fall tractor show in the past that has now become an early summer show. I suspect I know who may have fabricated this......part of the reason being he is from the Mentone area A forum member here who is a metal fabricator, has built other WH reproduction wagons, and that is why I suspect he had a hand in this. If he didn't, he likely knows who did build it. Anyone here have any guesses??? Comments on the below pictured gravity wagon??? If you want to know more and live out of the area, but are a Facebook user and want to see the listing, just PM me for the link. 12 1

peter lena 8,582 #4 Posted September 18, 2018 good work, looks like the bottom of a drop chute, very familiar to those , only change would be the valve / discharge area, to adapt to a production flow. anything made like that for a production process , was totally bombproof , it had to be , running 24/7 flat out. great seeing metal fab that had to survive in a production area, only thing missing is the dent battered sides, from the operators, beating on it , that had to free up the product going thru it. been there done that , Pete
CasualObserver 3,408 #5 Posted September 18, 2018 Seen a few of those in private collections over the years. There are people out there with remarkable talent who've made these and other replica implements to go with their replica mini farm tractors. I have an extended family member who built replicas of most of his antique tractor collection, and then moved on to do several implements and then other things like his combine and grain truck. He's a retired lifelong farmer who is incapable of sitting still.

AlexR 604 #7 Posted September 19, 2018 (edited) I saw that on FB marketplace as well price is up there at $750 though. Its worth it for the labor and material put in it.. Just hard to justify for something that is just for show. Edited September 19, 2018 by AlexC120

I could use that to feed my deer and pull it with my . I know I couldn't build that for asking what with the axles, power to run a welder, steel etc.....not to mention time. If I was to win the lottery I might be all over that.
