plumb-r 34 #1 Posted September 17, 2018 I have been going thru 1 belt per year mowing the lawn. The belt from the pto over the double pulleys at the attach-o-matic then down to the deck.Only mowing a little over 1\2 acre with my c145a. I've been buying the green Gates belts from the local Napa. It's not that I mind getting them, but I recall reading in here on previous posts of people getting a lot more use out of them. What could be causing them to go faster. Any ideas would be welcome. ronhatch 406 #2 Posted September 17, 2018 What exactly is happening to your belts? I'm on my 3rd season on my belt and it still looks brand new. Have you adjusted your deck so it is only 1/8" to 1/4" lower in the front then in the back? Are all the pulleys and bearings in good shape? Is the belt good and snug but not overly tight?
