Daron1965 644 #1 Posted September 8, 2018 My driveway is very old concrete that has numerous uneven cracks. Has anyone used skids or wheels on their plow blade to help the blade slide over the uneven cracks? I open to any and all suggestions. I'm planning on replacing the driveway in a few years. I hope. pfrederi 17,741 #2 Posted September 8, 2018 For something like $85 Toro will sell you some nice skids for your plow..but you have to have a newer blade with keyhole slots on the back to use them. I have made up skids using iron pipe caps and carriage bolts. They only last 2 or three seasons but they are cheap to make Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,046 #8 Posted September 9, 2018 I drilled through the blade and C-channel on the back and squared the holes in the blade to take 3/8" carriage bolts. cleat 6,046 #10 Posted September 9, 2018 My blade has skids for a full size truck plow installed. It came that way, I just cleaned and painted it. You just install pin at whatever height you want it.
