BOB ELLISON 2,981 #2 Posted August 17, 2018 Welcome to Redsqure Another Michigander. Your transmission I believe is a peerless . Depending on the year this may help. Maybe the year of yours and a picture will help

Howie 892 #5 Posted August 18, 2018 Those Peerless transmissions actually hav e grease in them, and don't believe there is a way to check them. most of them I have been around you can not check.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,096 #6 Posted August 18, 2018 Worked OK before you changed the belt? Now it doesn't? Good chance the drive belt is not coming to a stop with the clutch pedal pushed down. It must stop before shifting. The 1974 A-90 Special model 2-4300 used the 1400 Peerless transmission The 1976 model 62-08BP01 used the 648 Peerless transmission posted above. The 1977 model 72-08BP01 used the 662 Peerless transmission Garry
David Young 1 #7 Posted April 10, 2019 I did change the drive belt old one did not know the size. read that you have to push brake and clutch pedals at same time. My brakes are gone that's why I'm putting on new brakes.
