The Gman 476 #1 Posted August 7, 2018 Still waiting on word back on the charger 12....... Then this popped up. Just couldn't pass it by sooooooo. I pick it up tonite. Comes with a snow blower. Tranny pops out of gear. That's fine with me. I've rebuilt two 8 speeds an a 3 speed. Think I'm getting the hang of them. And yes my wife still loves me. She's even coming for the ride

c-series don 9,076 #3 Posted August 7, 2018 I've always thought that would be the best rototilling tractor, with an 8-speed and electric lift seems like it would be a great combination!
Cee245 819 #4 Posted August 8, 2018 (edited) Nice find @The Gman! I've only rebuilt 1 by myself and helped with a couple others after mine. I think overall it isn't TOO complicated for most wrenchers. The ones I worked on were the Unidrive 8 speeds. The Gman 476 #5 Posted August 8, 2018 Rain rain go away........ want to unload the 18 today. From a quick look and see. The drive belt may be too short. That shouldn't make it POP out of gear as the PO said. Didn't happen when I picked it up.... but for sure the idler pully kept a fair bit of tension when clutched. Find em don't grind em is an understatement. The blower is a Newholland???? Modified to fit right up tight. Has a lift bar and flag Made to order. Even the hub caps are in fair shape. This is definitely a sweet deal. 3

Not too far of a stretch.... the next gen of Toro/Wheel Horse models (260 series and XI series) had a lot of twins painted blue and black and sold as New Holland. It would have gone to one of those originally. Look familiar?
The Gman 476 #7 Posted August 8, 2018 Sure does. The blower is very well built. Feels at least 20 lbs heavier.

Lots of time to decide. Will have to download a read up on the engine. Get familiar with the ingition.
richmondred01 2,270 #10 Posted August 8, 2018 The big downside to the m18 is that they don’t have adjustable valves. The stems need to be ground like the k181. Get yourself a spare fuel pump or switch to an electric one. Other then that, I’ve seen m18’s with as much as 2800 hours.
