19richie66 17,500 #1 Posted July 22, 2018 Kinda. I was offered a 953 a couple months ago from another member on here. Just when I had given up after losing one on ebay, a couple days later, I get a message titled “953”. I opened it and was surprised by the offer. A little more than I was hoping to spend but it was just what I was looking for. I just finally got everything lined up and my brother in law picked it up for me. I still need to make the trip to the panhandle to get it. Can’t wait. Now to make some room in the shed to park it out of the weather. Cannot wait to get a garage. These are pictures that he sent me. More to come after I get it home in a couple weeks. 7

Very complete and in nice condition, I don't recall ever seeing a 953 with the long Hein-Warner pump and the wart on the side panel though I have heard of them. Looks like a “Fred” 😁 The rear socket is just that, a tail light socket but he couldn’t find the lense. Put it where he wouldn’t lose it...... been there Edited July 23, 2018 by 19richie66

Man oh man, if I had a nickel for every time I'd put something down where I thought I wasn't going to lose it. No way I wouldn't be rich and retired right now in my late forties.
elcamino/wheelhorse 9,295 #19 Posted July 23, 2018 I have a big load of stuff in my shed that I put down and can't find. I think Fred would be a excellent name. Ha ha
elcamino/wheelhorse 9,295 #20 Posted July 23, 2018 After a lot of thought I think you should name it " Little Fred" , . I think someone would like it . 1
19richie66 17,500 #21 Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) Road trip! Going to pick it up. Have my trusty cohorts along with me for the ride. funny timing too because the man I bought it from messaged me and said he found the tail light lense. 👍 Edited August 31, 2018 by 19richie66 3
19richie66 17,500 #23 Posted August 31, 2018 Thank you Sir! Made it there in good shape. Half the battle. Had trailer wiring issues so had to leave it home. Glad it will fit in the truck but now I have to get it in there. 2
rjg854 11,349 #24 Posted August 31, 2018 Find a ditch you can back down into, drop the tail gate and drive it in the box. Easy peasy
19richie66 17,500 #25 Posted August 31, 2018 Yeah pretty much what I had planned. He has an enclosed trailer we are going to put it in and then put his ramp on my tailgate and push away.
