kidd76 0 #1 Posted July 10, 2018 I have a 1976 C-120 with mower deck #65-48ms01. I want to replace the spindle bearings on the mower.The pulley came off ok but the shaft drops down about 3 ins and stops.Do I need to tap on the shaft to get it out ? Goldnboy 910 #2 Posted July 11, 2018 You will need to remove the top bearing first before removing the shaft. Then remove the snap ring behind the bearing and then the shaft can be removed. The top bearing can be removed by placing an old L shaped Allen wrench in the hole or similar object and tapping the bearing out. Otherwise you will break the snap ring which is is double thick and not ordinary found at a hardware store. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
