5.0_2011 2 #1 Posted July 9, 2018 Does anyone know what oil or what to recommend as a replacement for the oil in the transmission of a workhorse 700. Did a little research on here and seems like a 80w90 synthetic oil is the way to go. Also what is the capacity of the case and where can I find a new boot for the shift lever. Thanks for the help
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,096 #2 Posted July 9, 2018 Welcome to the forum. Click on the picture and again on the next page that comes up. Two of those on the next page are from the lubrication chart showing the dry capacity and what to use. Shifter boots are still available from Toro and often found on ebay. There is a hump in the bottom center of the transmission case so raise the front end of the tractor to get a bit more out. 5.0_2011 2 #4 Posted July 15, 2018 Ok so I got it all drained and flushed and oil back in it. But now the problem I’m having is that it won’t go into 3rd gear? Is there an adjustment messed up? I don’t wanna force it. All other gears work just fine
