elcamino/wheelhorse 9,297 #51 Posted August 6, 2018 @19richie66 Why don't you stuff 4.3 V6 out of a S10 Cheby in there , you could drag race and cut grass at the same time or kill gators.

GT's are always a little too short and stubby to start with and that extended 1054(2054)? is gonna look damn good! Randy Thanks Randy. I think it will look good with the longer hood. Going to be interesting to see how different it will actually look. Not sure if I am going to move the fromt axle forward or leave the grille forward of the axle the 3”. Then with the 1054 dash and nose with a gt14 hood. Looks like it was made for it. I’m tickled pink. Skittles Jr! Lookin’ good Richie!
19richie66 17,508 #56 Posted August 7, 2018 (edited) @RandyLittrell here you go. Took care of that issue this evening. Still have to clean up the old welds but the axle will sit at the end of the frame, just as it does on the 1054. Ran out of daylight. Probably have to make a new drag link but thats ok. Edited August 7, 2018 by 19richie66 Pictures or it didn’t happen 😁

19richie66 17,508 #58 Posted August 7, 2018 Instead of watching paint dry, I go outside to “clean up”. 1
PeacemakerJack 10,738 #59 Posted August 7, 2018 This is gonna be one COOL machine when finished! I really like what I’m seeing so far Richie. Very good call on relocating the front axle, I know that it is extra work but worth it in the long run. 1
19richie66 17,508 #60 Posted August 8, 2018 Thanks Josh. 👍 I have an image of the finished tractor in my mind. Wishing for some nice weather. Rained every day last week. Little bit of housework, little bit of tractor work

19richie66 17,508 #62 Posted August 13, 2018 (edited) In between chores, I managed to get the front axle pivot brackets welded in. Still have clean up to do. Baby steps. Edited August 13, 2018 by 19richie66

elcamino/wheelhorse 9,297 #70 Posted August 14, 2018 That is going to be a killer tractor , if you bring it to the BS don't let the Tractor Mafia near it . Pieces and parts will be headed west and you will end up with a pile of nuts and bolts.

19richie66 17,508 #74 Posted October 15, 2018 Got the transmission on the stand for the “widening” of the axles. Been fighting the hubs. The first one practically jumped off but the second was having no part of it. Been soaking it and heating it now for almost 3 weeks and finally tonight after some heating sessions, she let go. Converted them already to lug studs and put them away. After I get it cleaned up, I’ll split it and get going on it.
WHX?? 48,815 #75 Posted October 15, 2018 Yah know Ritchie I would rather have a fight with them hubs. Better chance of things being kosher underneath that way rather when they slide right off. Know what I mean? 2
