They should help mellow the tone down a bit. 1

After teaching 22 years, I learn something from my 7 and 8 year olds every day! Living is learning and learning is living! Yup. I always tell the high school kids I mentor on the robotics team that you gain knowledge from your mistakes and get wisdom from other people's mistakes.

We debated on how to attach it. I think we’ll bolt it in case she ever wants a different hood and save from welding to keep from burning the sweet paint job! 1 1
D_Mac 8,623 #86 Posted April 9, 2020 (edited) @pullstart you do great work. You just knocked out 3 builds in a matter of weeks that would take most people years. Keep it up ! Edited April 9, 2020 by D_Mac
Pullstart 62,916 #87 Posted April 10, 2020 One thing that has never been right with this tractor is the choke cable being good and frozen. I’ve hit it with different penetrating oils numerous times and no progress. I have a bucket of diesel from servicing Grandpa’s wood hauler’s fuel lines VERY FAR FROM SPARKS AND HEAT SOURCES and decided a little soak wouldn’t hurt anything. I’ll check it once a week or so, she’s pretty good at choking it by hand at the carb but after 2 years, it’ll be nice to be able to start it from the captain’s chair. After two years of working around a problem it becomes a customary routine. Jada will instinctively hop off and do the hand choke.

Pullstart 62,916 #90 Posted March 17, 2022 @857lover I figured I’d pull you into this thread. The idea of changing a machine a tad from stock isn’t a new one.. but it’s a fun one as you’ve learned! simplicity rocks for adapting, modifying and improving! I’ve thought about updating this tractor to a 10 hp to be a full on faux-1045 build. Square hood short frame big block of awesomeness. The k-181 just runs so awesome though! Pullstart 62,916 #91 Posted September 20, 2022 I realized I didn’t add these photos to the end of the build… Sorry the video above is private now… YouTube thinks I endanger my minors and flagged me into YT jail for a while.. 1
