pfrederi 18,116 #2 Posted June 24, 2018 2 turns on the high speed (large one on top) and 2-1/2 turns on idle (smaller one) should be starting point. Also have you checked your float level 11/64: between float and housing
Carlos VB 14 #3 Posted June 24, 2018 AT WALBRO helped me to identify the carb the reference on the carb is WHG 022677 So I asked the gasket in UK the sent it to me (third file) Somebody told to me the Bowl Gasket is not the proper one... ¿¿?? I´m trying to clarify this point.
Carlos VB 14 #4 Posted June 24, 2018 It is a 312-8 WH , with a Kohhler Magnum 12. On the picture the two screws....

pfrederi 18,116 #6 Posted June 24, 2018 Sorry I thought you had a Kohler carb. No high speed adjustment on a Walbro...that is why i do not like them. Small screw is idle speed. Larger is idle mixture. You say it idles OK then most likely problem is then caused by float setting or dirt in carb. What you have in your hand is the splash shield you need that and the thin round bowl gasket (in plastic bag)) As far as I know the gaskets are the same Walbro and Kohler
Carlos VB 14 #7 Posted June 24, 2018 It is supposed everything is clean from tank to carb, new petrol filter, new air filter.... 90 € spent, and the same.
Anglo Traction 761 #8 Posted June 24, 2018 You have the wrong Service Kit for your Walbro Carb. It should be 25 757 11-s. You do not require the flat Gasket (with Baffle) from the wrong kit. Your Carb Part number should be stamped on the Flange and should read something like these- 45 053 79, 45 053 80, 45 053 81, 45 053 82, 45 053 83, 45 053 84. see extract from Kohler Manual below- The IDLE Mixture Screw should be opened/set at 1 and 1/4 turns from gently closed as a preliminary setting. Run engine for 5 minutes to warm up, then follow the Kohler Manual procedure below- Hope this helps.
