Butch 194 #4 Posted March 16, 2009 Yeah Buzz is up the road from me. I'm just doing a day trip to check the show out. I'm not gonna bring my WH. I'll have my CB in the truck. If you see a red F-250 there and say to yourself "What the hell is that thing on his roof" that'll be me!!
Buzz 502 #5 Posted March 17, 2009 Butch, if you're bringing your truck why don't you throw your 'Horse in the back. They have a sort of loading dock to make life easier. As big as the show is your legs will be aching. Your tractor doesn't have to be a show piece, it just has to be a Wheel Horse. Working 'Horses are welcome. Coadster32 793 #7 Posted March 17, 2009 I suppose I could dust off mine also. Think I need a new antenna though.
KyBlue 655 #8 Posted March 21, 2009 I used a Paperclip once... well it was pretty recent. I picked up@ a supplier who called out your door via CB... had the radio..no antenna. Worked Okay, hard on the radio thou.
Butch 194 #9 Posted March 21, 2009 Using your radio without an antenna or a poorly tuned antenna will burn up the transistors.
marvairplanes 34 #10 Posted March 21, 2009 Any body interested in buying a pair of "like new" Radio Shack CB Radios, hand held, complete with rechargable batteries, charger, leather carrying cases with belt loop, all original paper work? Cost me nearly $500 when new. Will sell for less than half that, with free shipping. Send me a personal e-mail if interested or you want/need more info. KyBlue 655 #16 Posted March 30, 2009 Using your radio without an antenna or a poorly tuned antenna will burn up the transistors. Yes Butch I know this (its radio 101 I learned a very long time ago) however, when you have to, you have to. Besides, anything that would have got burned up...easily replaceable... But since I used it 99% of the time for listening... no harm done BTW my CB handle: Dead Broke
