bring a horse to work Friday!

:confusion-confused:           Wouldn't you need to turn it a bit to do an alignment ?                :ROTF:

I'm surprised to see all of that firewood split so small. I try for a variety of sizes so that once I have a good set of coals from smaller stuff I can use larger pieces for longer burns at moderate draft. Yep, too durn lazy to tend the stove every two hours.

Knowing Trina personally as you do, you can verify she hasn't got a lazy molecule anywhere.

That said though....

She cuts the wood short. 14" to 16"..

Also double splits every piece.

She finds it infinitely easier to handle while processing and burning too.

Our fire burning times are more often shorter than overnight. Smaller pieces burn faster and better for that.

On the overnights Trina's learned to cut the air flow way down to maintain a decent burn.
