We enjoyed the history behind the "Devil's Den" at the battlefields. Half the fun is figuring out where a famous picture of a dead soldier was staged in a very rocky terrain. The are so many places to visit. Go to the National Cemetary. We thought the ghost tours would be a joke, but we got a guide that gave us as much history as she did ghosts. Go to Mr G's ice cream shop. Great ice cream in the middle of the historic district. I could just keep going! Good infor Dells. Thanks. Plan on getting up grabbing breakfast at a local diner and then heading to the visitor's center... Need to be done and over to dinner for 6pm

I'd start there because they can give you all the different tours/start times/etc. I don't recall the specific ones I was on so I don't want to give you bad info.
dells68 7,498 #59 Posted June 20, 2018 If you're the independent type like me, you can buy a CD set at the visitor center that will guide you through the battle fields. You can also get a personal guide from the center that will drive your vehicle and take you to places that might be of interest to you.

We decided to head to Gettysburg today and got here around 8pm after making a stop at Bass pro and dropping some coing on stuff we did not need... We plan on spending the day tomorrow in Gettysburg. Anyone have a starting point or a "must see" tour or attraction etc? Here are dome pics of the trip today... Last photo is the view from our hotel room... Is bo watching one of vins videos on his phone? Lol

Buy the CD and book at the gift shop in the visitor center and it will keep you busy the rest of the day! Plus you can reuse it next year if you want and loan it to friends.
