We have a Charger 10 that I’ve had on here and gotten help with, but I’d never really looked at the ID Tag.
Today while looking around it I took note of the model number, so as to help with narrowing down parts in the future. The model number listed on the tag is 1-7931.
After a google search, “1-7931” returns as a Charger 9. Would this be a case of using left over tags, or possibly an error? The tractor has an HH100, and is badged as a Charger 10, but from the Charger 9 manual I found, I couldn’t find an engine model number listed, just “9hp”.
Picture of the tag is included.

I liked, but didn’t find an applicable thread, so I made a new post.
We got a 69 Charger 10 last Friday. The brakes don’t really stop it, kinda slows it to an idle speed. Still too fast for the brakes to be engaged. FIL did some reading and it’s apparently the gears that stop the tractor, so now we’re looking at servicing and possible actually doing work on the trans. That’s fine, not a problem, figured we’d get into this eventually, so with the one known issue at hand, how would/have you gone about tackling this trans?
Trying to get voices of experience that might be able to save us a headache or two lol. TIA!

Just purchased a C100. Everything was working fine for 1 day. Got stuck in mud and pushed it out while running, Shut tractor off and went to restart.
Now it just makes a noise from the starter. No Clicking, Battery is strong. Lights work when key is engaged. Turned the drive belt by hand - turns freely.
Tried to jump start with no luck. I am a novice and was looking for advice. Thank you in advance.

I've got a Raider 10 that won't start and am not sure what to do, but I suspect that something needs replacing.
ENGINE MODEL: KOHLER K241S 10HP
WHAT HAPPENS: I turn the ignition and hear a loud buzz/crackling sound coming from somewhere in the vicinity of the starter/battery area (PICTURED). I turn the ignition over again and the sound repeats. I turn it over a third time and it's dead.
RECENT MAINTENANCE: Replaced/patched some wiring, new battery (charged yesterday, had been sitting for the winter), new spark plugs. I'm an idiot with the internal combustion and am probably in over my head with this thing, but willing to give it my best go with good guidance. Would really love to get the tiller running for the spring.
Thanks gang

Happy Easter fellow Horse Junkies! I am not happy with my Raider 10 after I swapped out the Lauson for a K181. Its not so much the difference in power between the 10hp and the 8hp, its the fact that my other 2 tractors are a Bronco 14 and a 416 8 Onan. I hop on the Raider and even though its the most mechanically sound and aesthetically pleasing tractor, it has the least cajones. I have a low hour 14hp Magnum sitting around that I was saving as a backup but I think I want to drop it in the Raider. Anyone make this type of swap before? Anything that makes it not doable or ill advisable? As always I appreciate the input and your time in answering. Happy Easter!
