How many show their tractors?

Much curious how many of you show your tractors? And if you do, how about a pic of your setup?

 

I really only showed my tractor once when my Dad was still alive and haven't wanted to till now. 

 

Do you bring your trailer in and unload or unload outside and bring everything in? Just curious.

I take tractors to about 8 shows per year. How I set up depends on the rules at the show. Some shows will allow you to have your trailer or camper by your display, others don't want any trailers in the display area. Most shows in our area will have card board signs that you can fill out with your information. I took the time to make some out of wood that resemble the grills of each tractor, then I burned my info into the wood.

Every show is a little different. Most always you can unload your tractor, canopy, chairs etc. by your display but many times are required to park in a separate area (lack of space). If the show does not allow unloading by the display a tub can be brought along to haul back and forth between display and parking. A tub is always a good idea to have along anyway for tub rides for the kids.

I like to use an Easy-up tent so I can hang up  banners etc.

BTW Randy I was going to suggest cruising through the shows threads and get some other ideas.

Just another suggestion you will also find some guys will honor their dad, mom, grampa  etc. if they were connected with the tractor in some way.

My Dad and I had collected several Cub Cadets including 2 Originals from 1961 and they are serial numbers 14,882 and 14,883. Just dumb luck we found the second one, already had it on the trailer before I looked. It would cost a lot more had I known up front! Here is a pic of one of them, I am going to tear them both down and restore both then display them in memorial to Dad. Might be a few years though! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We painted that around 13 years ago or so, don't remember for sure. My son and I still use it all the time and it still looks pretty good. It does always spend the night inside though!

Holy crap Jabel you got a fine herd ther ... you holdin out on us with the  ?.......might be a crime not to take them to shows for others to enjoy! I was in your boat a few short years ago but then like the flick of a switch I (we) were empty nesters with time (and money) on our hands . Luckily now the grand kids as well as our nieces and nephews think our tractors are the coolest and clamor their parents to come to our shows for rides, ice cream and family fun in general. No better way to spend a weekend with friends & family!

I try to change up a little of what i bring so that its not all of the same stuff every time... although some stuff makes it two or three years before i switch it up. Part of what I enjoy about taking stuff to shows is to have some variety. The few shows I hit have some good guys that kind of do the same... so the displays are always a little different.

Nice Jason .....a trip down memory lane!  Another  thought  Randy it's a good idea to have a tub handy when you run out of gas and a bro has to play filling station! This kinda monkey business is what I like the most about shows! How bout taking a bro to go get his truck!

C.     You can wrangle someone to haul you

This year  at Jackson County Antique Tractor and  Machinery Show and Swap Meet held in Brownstown, Indiana.  I took my 1964  Wheel Horse 854 and 1958   Wheel Horse RJ  with backrest on it!

 I just take three of my tractors to shows. '79 C-81 fitted with '62 finger bar. '78 C-121 modified for ploughing and '78 Sears/Roper GT16.

 

 

With just those three I still have room on the trailer plough and some other stuff.
