hydro engagement arm needed 418 A

where can I find a new or used Hydro release arm? mine is ready to break in half as the idler pulley wore a groove out in it . Can I fix it? does anyone know where I can get a picture of how it is supposed to look before its all worn out? Thanks John.....

 

new here, as you can tell, unsure as to where to post things

By the way I forgot to mention the tractor type....oh boy

Parts manual is here  part is 110780 still available from Toro or

 Check with one of our vendors A to Z tractors  www.a-ztractor.com for a used replacement

Thanks for the help guys. A welder at my day job laughed at me, and said give me that arm!

 

He welded a nice smooth area where the idler had worn out a big oval in the arm, then he used a dremel to make it look and work like brand new....

 

I buffed it out, and the thing works great, no more rattles ! Nothing like OEM he said, metal is better than what you can get today

I've had 2 fixed where the hinge pin wears out. Guy cuts off the old pin and welds on a new one. Weld the oblong pin hole shut and drills a new hole to fit the pin.

nobody knows where to get a set of dust covers for a pair of front axles on a 418 A? 8" wheels....

Glen Pettit is the sole supplier of these and is recuperating . You may be able to come up with a food container cover that will fit, seem to recall someone here using a coffee creamer product cap.
