MAD MARK 74 #7 Posted May 17, 2018 Mainly trying to see if the bearings that I have from other decks will fit these and it looks like they will. I have 6203-2RS C3 which seems to cross reference to the 109966. Both 17x40x12s Wouldnt mind getting a spindle or two, but seeing they are discontinued and expensive on eBay. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #8 Posted May 17, 2018 Just a heads up. The early deck spindles used a modified 6203 bearing where the ID was changed to 3/4". Have seen them identified as 6203-3/4 and 6203-12 (12/16" = 3/4") 40mm OD, 3/4" ID and 12mm wide. Later they went to a totally metric 6203 bearing with 40mm od, 17mm ID and 12mm wide. 17mm = .669" or approximately 43/64" Garry Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'm guessing that's what i have here cause the 6203 arent right. I have 2 different spindle spline shafts. And one of the spindle assemblies has a strange dust cap on it. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #12 Posted May 17, 2018 Don't know what a 967401 is. Take a look at the possible spindle assemblies for the 1977 deck. Click on the picture and then again on the small pictures that are on the next page. The size of the large hex on the shaft is illustrated. Garry Adding I think the 106084 is a 6203-3/4ID with no seals and 106085 is same with 1 seal. It is often cheaper to purchase these bearings with 2 seals and remove as needed. They are the 3/4" 19mm bearings. I'm redoing this deck for a customer that wants it Sunday making it a no shipping off fleabay deal. Thanks I'll check around for those numbers.
