Bakes168 15 #1 Posted April 25, 2018 I need to replace the clutch disc/friction material on a Commando 800. I measured the old one and it was 6" OD and about 1/8" thick. Wouldn't this one for a PTO friction disc work? I could just drill holes for the rivets or JB weld the thing onto my existing clutch plate. Beats paying $80 for a new plate and disc. https://www.agrisupply.com/pto-shaft-friction-disc/p/73635/ 1
Ed Kennell 39,179 #2 Posted April 25, 2018 It should work. In fact, IMO, the disc with the center removed should work better than a solid disc. By removing the center, the pressure will be increased on the larger diameter ring where the torque is actually transferred.
