Sparky-(Admin) 21,804 #2 Posted January 23, 2008 Nice site. I love the pic of the Mini "H" mocked up with cardboard . I only wish I had time for stuff like that. Can hardly keep up with the maintanance on the ones I got, never mind customizing. Mike.......
Greg B. 1 #3 Posted January 23, 2008 Thanks, TT, I really like that Mini-H. Greg B.
TT-(Moderator) 1,146 #4 Posted January 23, 2008 I thought y'all might like them. Definitely some good craftsmanship and ingenuity there, for sure! :D
Rollerman 290 #5 Posted January 23, 2008 Very nice customs. I'm always amazed by the small scale "big" tractors at the shows. There are quite a few of them at the Portland,IN show.
combatmp29r 27 #6 Posted January 23, 2008 That is a cool site. Now why didn't I think of cardboard for the V18? :D
TT-(Moderator) 1,146 #7 Posted January 23, 2008 I don't know about cardboard for the ACTUAL parts, but I use it extensively for mock-up purposes. That little "nose cone" cover on the Charger T was built from the back of a tablet once, then sheetmetal from a Capri roof , and finally 9 separate pieces of steel plate and round stock. combatmp29r 27 #8 Posted January 23, 2008 I used it to mock up my filler panels on the hood, but I don't know why i didn't use it to figure out the hood angles. Would have went smoother. :D
kpinnc 13,267 #9 Posted January 23, 2008 Wow, I really like the mini H! Kevin
TT-(Moderator) 1,146 #10 Posted January 23, 2008 I think it looks more like an "M" (taller hood) but I'm not gonna fault it -- 'cause it's really WICKED! I saw one of the "newer" red Cub Cadet lawn tractors made up to look like a 1066 and thought it was neat too.
chevelletown 37 #11 Posted January 23, 2008 Talk about some nice sheet metal work. Wow! The steering shaft going through the top of the hood and over the motor is cool too. Tickster that should get you fired up on that single wheel front end you were planning :D
Rollerman 290 #12 Posted January 23, 2008 Ken I need to finish some of my "bolt together" projects before I try that. I'll be looking for a 604,654 to do a narrow front someday. :P
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,535 #13 Posted January 23, 2008 Nice custom jobs. I know a guy over on wfm who is making a scaled Ford 8N. It's coming along very nicely the last time he show us pictures of it.
