Auger Removal from Two-Stage

Hello all,

 

I am in need of some assistance. I recently purchased a Two-Stage Snow-thrower....and one of the bearings on the end of the auger needs replaced. I just don't know how to remove the auger in order to get to the old bearing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this a Wheel Horse 2 stage which mounts to a tractor?

If so, Remove the side plate which the bearing is attached to.

I took the four bolts out on the sides of the blower as you can see in the picture. I just dont know how to get the whole auger out so I can access the bearing.

In your first pic with the drive chain, that needs to be removed as well as the sprocket then there's a locking collar bearing on the impeller (main) driveshaft then the WHOLE auger/impeller assembly will come out as one unit at least that's the only way I could get mine apart for the refurb I did a few years ago, while I was at it I changed the the impeller shaft bearing the drive chain and tensioner and added rubber impeller extensions and went through the auger gearbox new seals/gasket, not to mention cam lock bearings on the auger (but that takes extra fabrication), BTW like the adjustable wheel skids, Jeff.

I will start working on it this week....and will let you know how it goes!!!      Might re-paint the whole thing while I'm at it haha
