jusjeepn 59 #1 Posted February 28, 2009 This was built by my Dad in 1965. Still runs great! Has v-plow, land plow and dual disk. All built/modified by my Dad. He was a great teacher! http://s410.photobucket.com/albums/pp185/j...Dads%20tractor/
Rollerman 290 #2 Posted February 28, 2009 Very cool Pat...you going to add that one to your collection one day. V4 Wisky on it too...must be underpowered. Looks lke a qaulity peice really & well engineered.
TJ 175 #3 Posted February 28, 2009  That is one tough looking tractor. What kind of motor is that? What size of chain drives is it? Neat.

jusjeepn 59 #5 Posted February 28, 2009 Engine is a 31hp Wisconson 4 cyl. Clutch is a breakover system from a hay baler. Transmission is froma Hi-Lift forklift. Rear axle is a Buick cut down. Gas tank is Wheel Horse. Brakes are cutting brakes from Volkswagon. Steering gearbox is Volkswagon, steering wheel is forklift. I can't remember drive chain size but it has 2 gear sets that have to be changed manually giving it one heck of a lot of stump pulling low end torque (literally). The other gearset allows it to run 32mph in 3rd gear! Only problem has been getting enough traction!

jusjeepn 59 #12 Posted February 2, 2010 Still have it! It will never leave the family if I have anything to do with it. I have a video of it running on my computer at home (at work now), I'll post a link to it tonight. It sounds awesome now but you should have heard it when it had dual stacks on it. Had to remove the stacks due to icing problems with the carb in winter months. It does have a light front end and a lighter rear end. There is a weight box under the seat that is full of lead. I'd guess about 250lbs. The rear tires are also filled and weigh a ton. Dad was, and still is, my inspiration for all my customs and modifieds that I like building. Thanks guys for all the comps! Stress Test Pullin 0 #13 Posted February 2, 2010 I'm curious to see it run, the only 4 cylinder wicks I've see have been not running so this will be new to me and I bet it does sound wild with them stacks
dscott2000 1 #14 Posted February 5, 2010 Very cool! I have never seen a Wisconsin VE4D used like that! Most that I have seen were used to power generators and balers! B)
