moe1965 744 #1 Posted March 11, 2018 I got the 520 running today and had the tractor up on jacks. Forward and reverse worked fine. I took it off the jacks and pushed it in the shop and heard what sounds like marbles in the trans when I was pushing it around . I never owned a hydro before and don't know if this sound is normal. JoeM 7,874 #2 Posted March 11, 2018 Both of my 1100's make that sound. They both run fine. Might be the oil dumping though the checks, I'm sure someone here will know the exact answer.
19richie66 17,523 #3 Posted March 11, 2018 (edited) Its the balls in the hydro that pump the oil. Here is the manual for the trans. Edited March 11, 2018 by 19richie66 1
cleat 6,363 #4 Posted March 11, 2018 They do make a weird sound. I guess that is why it states not to tow. I believe it is safe to push around however. After they sit a while the sound gets much less. I guess the oil runs out.
