If I could justify the cost I might take a shot of having one.

Dad had one of those for a little while. Those were tanks as I remember.

My next door neighbor (retired engineer)  had one of those rear engined professional Gravely's. He was trying to drag a large crate he built (did I say he was a retired engineer? )  full of junk to the side of the road. He got about 4 feet and stopped. All he could do was pop wheelies as that crate dug in. I heard him banging his snowplow blade on his driveway everytime the front end came down. I told him to stop before he got hurt or wrecked something. (did I mention he's a retired engineer?)  I came back with my Power King and had him unhook his "toy" . Latched on to the crate put it in first and at idle I dragged that crate to the road. His jaw was on the ground. He has since sold the Gravely and now is into solar panels to recharge his cordless tools.

We always kid around at work about when they built some of the equipment we work on, that if they had to work on it,  It would have been built differently,😁 I know some of the things I’ve seen engineered, it blows my mind. I Mean that in a good way.  👍

Very true, Ritchie. Some designers couldn't design a pram. I used to say to my managers. "I don't care how many bits of paper a man has, if he can't use a spanner, he's no good to me."

Land Rover used to build the best 4x4 in the world. Just a big meccano set. Now you have to take the body off to change a clutch.

You guys will appreciate this one. I once had a 1984 Buick Century. 3.0 liter V6 if I remember right. The oil filter was mounted upside down at a 45 degree angle so when you removed it the oil in the filter would immediately drain out. That's fine but it would drain directly onto the power steering rack boot. General Motors designed that boot to be resistant to power steering fluid, not engine oil. They would swell up and fall off after a few oil changes. The techs in the shop made their own special tool out of a sheet of aluminum shaped like an upside-down U. To drape over the boot.
