AMC RULES 37,141 #1 Posted February 15, 2018 Walked into the shop today, to find these laying next to the trash. Seems they were ballast in the bottom of old standing job site lights. Looked like free wheel weights to me...feel about 50#'s each. but, of course, the bolt holes aren't spaced wide enough to fit our rims. At three inches thick, think a local machine shop would drill these out for me?
WHX?? 49,486 #2 Posted February 15, 2018 We like free... you could easily drill them out with a decent drill press.
lynnmor 7,379 #3 Posted February 15, 2018 Sure, any machine shop can drill them in a reasonable amount of time.

ebinmaine 68,872 #9 Posted February 16, 2018 I like how we all try to take care of each other. ... Craig I've got a nice big floor model drill press up here in Maine you use for free. Nice easy 5 hour drive. Hours and hours of holding the lever on the press. A few hours back. Or call a machine shop. ....you could do that too.
