chevelletown 37 #34 Posted January 25, 2008 I had to use a larger trailer No chevelles got moved outside but I might have to sleep outside......the wife is still deciding how I'm going to make this up to her. "No chill, no thrill" is what I'll chant to myself while I sleep with those tractors for the next few nights. I'm always amazed when someone finds a couple 'horses stashed away in a barn, and usually that means they're covered in surface rust and and nice healthy coat of dust, probably have had a fair share of rodent roommates... but I have to say... your find looks absolutely awesome! Good condition, and well kept. I'm with Bill, dying to know what this score cost you on the private market. I also agreed 100% with Kevin, I was expecting to see some rust, some faded red, some missing parts, etc. But those are in great shape. Just awesome find. Good Catch!!! Now if you ever decide to part with that GT14 keep me in mind, another one won't hurt. Tri-cycle Terry have you ever seen a 69 GT14 with a tri-cycle front end. Front end is going to be built for me because no room also no welder or torches. After that is done I'll be doing the rest of it. I should have the "Garage" in order by then. Going from essentially 0 horses to this spectacular collection is almost fairy tale like. All guys have the fantasy of finding that abandoned Hemi, SS or Boss with close to 0 miles on it and the owner says, it's old so give me $100 and take it. I'm sure that isn't the case here since the PO seems to have known what he had, but the collecting over the years, putting in storage the find is still amazing. EVERYONE on this board is envious, you have scored a collection where there is something for everyone to drool over from the older RJ's to the GT's to the Verticals. We're fortunate that you're a member of this board and we all hope that you share more pictures of this incredible find with us and perhaps some more of the stories behind it both yours and the original collector's. You must have been eatin' Lucky Charms cerial since you were born to bring home a find like that! I have brought home more Wheel Horses in some of my buy outs BUT nothing that ever brought home that much Wheel Horse Gold !!!
