T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #26 Posted January 24, 2008 My wife just got used to seeing my drool over the green and yellow. Now I'm scanning the fields, backyards, etc., for some "red" and she's not sure about this Wheel Horse thing yet. Being bi-tractoral is hard.
Rollerman 290 #27 Posted January 24, 2008 Terry just explain to her that you like blonde's & red heads now....but mostly red heads & want to bring more home. :D

Rollerman 290 #32 Posted January 25, 2008 Ken looks like you gave that trailer of yours a workout. They all look like very nice tractors & some nice implements too! Congrats again on the find. So how many Chevelle's are sitting outside now. :P
combatmp29r 27 #33 Posted January 25, 2008 :D to your little trailer. Mine couldn't even get a C and a lawn ranger home last night. Oh wait that wasn't its fault oh well anyhow
chevelletown 37 #34 Posted January 25, 2008 I had to use a larger trailer No chevelles got moved outside but I might have to sleep outside......the wife is still deciding how I'm going to make this up to her. "No chill, no thrill" is what I'll chant to myself while I sleep with those tractors for the next few nights. I'm not shure where the C195 and D250 will go I might have to start building shacks :(
Rollerman 290 #35 Posted January 25, 2008 Well Ken I know we only just met...but if you need a place to stash the D250 or the C195 I'll gladly sacrifice some space in my garage. :D
combatmp29r 27 #36 Posted January 25, 2008 I'm sure TT would offer some space too, but man would we have to do alot of cutting and pasting to make that all fit :D

CasualObserver 3,408 #40 Posted January 25, 2008 Ken, that really is amazing! Congrats, ditto, echo, yeah, what he said... all that.... I'm always amazed when someone finds a couple 'horses stashed away in a barn, and usually that means they're covered in surface rust and and nice healthy coat of dust, probably have had a fair share of rodent roommates... but I have to say... your find looks absolutely awesome! Good condition, and well kept. I'm with Bill, dying to know what this score cost you on the private market. I'm not asking you to tell, but will you say whether you bought "by the tractor" or as a "package deal?" :P
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #41 Posted January 25, 2008 Ken, Ditto on all that was said. I also agreed 100% with Kevin, I was expecting to see some rust, some faded red, some missing parts, etc. But those are in great shape. Just awesome find. Tell the wife that a find like this does not happen, so when it does, you got to go with it. Just fantastic. :D
Rollerman 290 #42 Posted January 25, 2008 With that many at once it's hard to pick a favorite. That RJ 35 with the original steering wheel is very nice. Of course I've always like the GT14's too.then that 500 Speacial is sweet...oh that one in the 2nd photo down...LOL see what I mean. :P
nylyon-(Admin) 7,264 #43 Posted January 25, 2008 :P Still speechless! Maybe I can come to grips with this tomorrow :D
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #44 Posted January 25, 2008 Yes, that RJ-35 is really nice. That might be my favorite here. Or maybe the one GT-14. I even like that one Lawn Ranger. There are a few favorites there. :D
Brrly1 1,146 #45 Posted January 26, 2008 Chevelletown That is one Heck of a herd that you have latched onto. There is nothing like jumping right in to the best hobby that I have ever found. Good Catch!!! Now if you ever decide to part with that GT14 keep me in mind, another one won't hurt. Tri-cycle Terry have you ever seen a 69 GT14 with a tri-cycle front end. Front end is going to be built for me because no room also no welder or torches. After that is done I'll be doing the rest of it. I should have the "Garage" in order by then. Likely story I know but hoping for warmer weather soon Burly
Stigian 1,234 #46 Posted January 26, 2008 All i can say is........... I WANT ALL OF THEM Thats a hell of a nice collection Chevelletown :P
nylyon-(Admin) 7,264 #47 Posted January 26, 2008 I have finally found some words. First, my hats off to you and the original collector, the diversity and condition of these machines is astonishing. Going from essentially 0 horses to this spectacular collection is almost fairy tale like. All guys have the fantasy of finding that abandoned Hemi, SS or Boss with close to 0 miles on it and the owner says, it's old so give me $100 and take it. I'm sure that isn't the case here since the PO seems to have known what he had, but the collecting over the years, putting in storage the find is still amazing. EVERYONE on this board is envious, you have scored a collection where there is something for everyone to drool over from the older RJ's to the GT's to the Verticals. We're fortunate that you're a member of this board and we all hope that you share more pictures of this incredible find with us and perhaps some more of the stories behind it both yours and the original collector's. BPjunk 184 #48 Posted January 26, 2008 Son, I am going to tell you .... now I do not know what you paid to get those Wheel Horses but I have been assesing these tractors for years and with a rough ... just by the pictures you posted there is about $8,500.00 worth of Wheel Horses that you hualed home! You must have been eatin' Lucky Charms cerial since you were born to bring home a find like that! I have brought home more Wheel Horses in some of my buy outs BUT nothing that ever brought home that much Wheel Horse Gold !!!
