Back to that “how do you lift heavy stuff?” post, I don’t recall anyone saying “I let my woman do it.”  Nope, I recall lifting, grunting, farting, cool lifts, chainfalls, cherry pickers, leverage, blocks.... nothing about the females taking care of the dirty work.

But I believe in the power of “betcha’ can’t” dares giving the lady species Hulk like powers to overcome... just to prove “betcha’ I can too!”

Eric, that's unconscionable!!!

How could you allow her to do that???

Do you know what a K341 weighs?

122 lbs. !

:angry-tappingfoot::angry-nono:

It wouldn't be so funny if she threw out her back or dropped the engine on a foot. Seriously.........

I appreciate your concern and so does she.

Accidents and injuries can and do happen but..

I have very little worries about her coordination or strength.

Trina's a highly trained Black Belt.

She knows, understands, and uses her capability ONLY when she knows she can handle things.

That pic I took was the 4th time she had moved the engine yesterday.

@dells68... Sleep with one eye open??

Naahh.....

:P

We accomplished a fair bit of assembly yesterday!!!

I did something a little unconventional for a seat mount.

The seat pan/fenders were/are in pretty tough shape. Dented up some. Cracked. Warped. Right full of rust surface pitting.

It is however, still quite solid overall.

There was a repair done in the distant past on 2 forward bolt holes to fix the issue of a cracked pan and possibly the bolts ripping up through it. Roughly 2" square pieces of metal were welded to the bottom to reinforce the holes.

Due to my ummm... Stature... I need to have the seat back as far as it will go, and more.

I used 1-1/2" square bar stock to be multiple things.

It levels, evens, and strengthens the pan. It gave me a better place to put multiple bolts through. I used a 36" piece cut in half and left the ends sticking out the back so I can mount a small tool tray there later. Maybe 3" or 4" x 15" ??

Enough to hold a hitch ball mount or whatever.

The mounting bolts on the bottom of the seat had pulled the square nut tabs clean out during disassembly so I had put (4) 1/2" carriage bolts in during the reupholstering. I also used (4) 3/8" bolts to hold the square bar stock to the pan so there's 8 fastening points now for stability.

Note the sticker...

We also attached the hood stand, fuel tank tray, and the hood. (Temporary pins).

I just really wanted to see the tractor as a whole unit.

Trina installed the wonderful custom hood sticker set I got from @Vinylguy Terry.

I'm not sure which tractor will end up with this '79 Kenworth Flying Swan but it looks interesting setting there.

Notice I even got her to pose for a smile while she was carrying that thing.

I triple double quadruple extra extra dog dare you to tell that woman she can't do something.

That's an impressive feat!

I've carried one of those around but I think my KT17's are heavier... lol

:text-coolphotos:                you could mount a nice little tool box on the overhanging square stock.        :handgestures-thumbupright:

Wow Eric and Trina—the Cinnamon Horse is looking great! I was a little skeptical of the color at first but seeing it together with the awesome graphics by terry and the stripe down the hood—cool.  It is gonna look especially sweet once the final wheel and tire combo are mounted up.  It’s always nice to get back to a project after a hiatus and make some serious progress—well done!

Trina's a highly trained Black Belt.

I think you had better do what she says and when she says knowing full well that she COULD use you for a "practice dummy":P

We took the seat off a few days ago and spray-painted those multi hole brackets black.

Got that all mounted back on today.

Also did a little more finish painting on the engine. Couple surfaces that I had missed the first time.

Took the dashboard back apart so Trina could put another couple of coats of paint on it so it would look a lot better.

Totally awesome to see it painted up in your matching paint scheme ready for installation:greetings-clappingyellow:  I’m more than 1200 miles away and yet I can’t wait to see it complete—even if only via picture and video for now.  Keep at it piece by piece!

@Vinylguy Terry gets a shout-out for sending me the red Wheel Horse script.

Dashboard is in.

I used  slightly larger screws to hold the levers on.

All the levers and the two knobs were wire brushed and I painted the 8 visible screws black.

I also spent a little while this morning degreasing the engine tins.
