WHX?? 49,501 #177 Posted May 15, 2018 Throw your 12 incher in the trailer for AJ's Tom.... Looking at the video on the big screen today didn't look to have a traction problem. One of the things I liked about your selection of that tractor for a plow rig, hydraulics aside, is the 5/8 drive belt.. no problem getting pwer to the rear! Have 'nuff weight out front?

Could use a little more weight on the left rear, but I will soon have that covered. I was thinking that pulling a double 16" trailer plow might be worth paying to see. But if it only takes a 12" plow to impress Tom, that should be easy enough.

PeacemakerJack 10,742 #183 Posted May 15, 2018 I was waiting for you to weigh in on this discussion since you now have a video to look at! Dan’s Raider is definitely a great plow tractor. @Rp.wh Ryan (another local circle buddy) also has one just about like it ‘Cept with manual lift. It will be fun plowing with both those tractors out in the field! Time to start looking for more 12” Brinly’s

Pullstart 63,205 #187 Posted October 23, 2019 Well worth taking another gander at this one! I was talking with @PeacemakerJack about installing a snow plow pump under the hood to make it look more like a starter generator. Well, I guess @Achto beat me to it by far! The pump I have is a Fisher and has strict warnings to not spin it faster than the engine. With your small drive pulley, it’s under driving, right?

When I got the tractor it had the 2" on the engine and a 5" on the pump, I thinkin' around 1500RPM pump speed. I've since replaced the pump pulley with a 4", it should now be around 1800RPMs at the pump. Edited October 23, 2019 by Achto
