Swapped the seat out on the 857. I know it’s not original but it’s in better shape and is plenty comfy mounted up in the small U shaped springs. I’m long legged so I appreciate the added height which gives me a bit more leg room.
Gave the seat pan a Flood Penetrol treatment as well.

Did you do the whole tractor with that flood penetrol? I bought it to use on a tractor but then never dared.

Just over 700 / snow cab.  I have new rear fenders and decals for it but the customer wants it as is.......

On the 857 tractor I only did the part under the seat. But on my B-80, I wiped the whole tractor down with it using a rag.

It’s dry to the touch, not greasy or oily.

Buddy of mine (Cub Cadet guy) that lives a couple towns over texts me that there’s a WH plow in the metal dumpster at his transfer station. He snagged it for me and I picked it up today “free” :handgestures-thumbupright:
Real nice 42” long frame plow and the plow edge isn’t ground down!!
Missing the angle handle but I have a spare one here.

If you end up with a "spare" 48 inch, @Maz91  is looking for one in Southern New Hampshire.

Last time I tried a clear coat the paint wrinkled on me!

rustoleum does not seem to do that, but tractor Supply stuff does..even on dry paint of the same manufacturer.

But now I see that Squonk already said that.

Thanks for compliment. I don't ever really see "nice" 953s. Think most them were worked hard??? Here's what it looked like before restoration.  R&B Wheel Horse Stables did the work. Not sure when but it was a while ago. Buckeyes (on forum) purchased it from them. He was a great caretaker of the tractor & the other 2 I bought from him.

I think I have to stop complaining about challenging conditions for working on my tractor!

You have fortitude to do this in the open!

I have no other choice lol. During the winter the gazebo is turned into the covered work area and storage for winter equipment. Plow snowblower and other projects for the warmer winter days. The 1277 came a long way. 20220511_205157.jpg.c79cd42cf7694790ec237a01476cfc7b.jpg20220508_165948.jpg.4234e28101a47c1dd878fe8d4da531bf.jpg

Remember to keep that outside tire at VERY low air pressure.

I have a compressor head I'm mounting up front to be my lil mobile compressor. And it added some weight to the back.

Do you do your own tire changes? I use a local guy that charges me $30 to mount a tire. I thought that was a little high so I stopped in at two more places, both charged the same thing.

Harbor Freight has manual tire changers. I have both sizes as the floor mounted one won't do smaller bore rims. The mini is tough to use on larger tires.

That's about average here too.

This is the way.

Sometimes hard work but rare I can't get a tire changed.

I’ve been changing my own tires for many years. I use the HF changer, but 2 major differences with my setup

1. I also have the HF motorcycle tire changer adapter (which they no longer sell).  It allows you to change small tires as well

2. I don’t use the included mount/dismount bar.  Instead, I use a tool my buddy makes and sells call a Mojo lever

I just pulled the tires off my RJ wheels using the setup in this thread. I took some pics and left a link to the Mojo lever too if anyone is interested
