I think it's time for a new brake caliper... anyone know where I can get a new one for a 1973 no name 8?

What tools do I need to put it on? And would I buy it on a-z tractor?

Peel the old one off and clean the metal band good to get the old glue off. Sandpaper works good to give the metal "tooth. Glue it on and use clamps, zip ties or put it back on and set the parking brake for a day.

What if my tractor doesn't have a parking brake?

Some of these :occasion-clown: s will suggest you use this as an excuse to sleep on your tractor all night with your foot on the brake.

Or you could hold the brake down with a brick, rachet strap or stick.   :)

Found this neat pile of steel on @Sparky's truck.

I figured it would make a great front weight for something.

12" x 4" x 4"

Totals out about 52+ lbs.

You're on it. Redsquare.

If it was built ... there's a pic of it here.

Good bet is to search by model number.

Quite often that's easy enough to find out.

It should be on the tractor.

Placement varies by model and year.

If the tag has been lost just post a few pics.

We like pics anyway.

You'll get it identified by the group.

That's another problem, I don't have pics or access to the tractor yet. I haven't received it yet.
